“PTA Minstrel Show Tonight, School House”
Blackface comediennes will enliven the PTA meeting at the school house tonight (Friday, April 1), when a group of mothers present an old-time minstrel show.
Members of the cast include a Mrs. May Peterson as interlocutor; Mrs. Henry Grisham, “Lily White”; Mrs. David Hutchison, “Hazel Nut”; Mrs. Clyde Foutch, “Ruby Johnson’’; and Mrs. Robert, “Mrs. Joyce Choice.”
Prior to the entertainment feature, a pot-luck dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. Members are asked to bring a salad, dessert or hot dish, as well as a card table and necessary dishes and silverware.
The business meeting will be in charge of Mrs. Irvin Morgan, president.
