A group of young Colony ballet dancers entertained for their friends last Friday, June 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the patio of the Colony's Albert Handschumacher home. The ocean made a spectacular backdrop for the performance of the young dancers assisted by their teacher, Marjorie Gables, who contributed a French novelty solo. The girls did several dances, including a finale displaying their physical talents for mat work.
Seven-year-old Donna Eaken played several enjoyable numbers on her accordion.
The dancers were Leslie Graves, Kathy Swartz, Georgina Spears, Alecia Gaskin, Karen Handschumacher, Meghon Handschumacher, Stephany Harris, and Nancy Pitman.
Refreshments were served to the guests and performers at the close of the performance.
