"The Segregation Problems of the South"
by Laura B. Gaye
The segregation problems of the South are being blown up out of proportion in order to attract attention. One of the relatives in our family lives in Little Rock, and he made this observation: “We have begun to work out this period of development in our social life. However, it would seem some persons in Government want the States to do it 'Right Now,' and this is something which cannot be worked out in a few months.” If the genealogy of every man were preserved for future generations, there would probably be no man despised or looked down upon because of his birth. Even the beggar or laborer would find himself lineally descended from some great man.
