“Bench in Santa Monica for Topanga Hitch-Hikers”
Preparations are being made by the Topanga Civilian Defence Committee to install a bench at a convenient location in Santa Monica where Topanga folks in need of transportation to the Canyon may gather while waiting for a “lift.”
Homeward-bound Topanga motorists are asked to drive by the bench, the location of which will be announced later in the Journal, and pick up their fellow hill billies.
Dr. W. V. Theriault has donated the bench. It will be signed and anchored as soon as a suitable location can be obtained.
